Commander Don Davis 
Detention Commander
Don Davis is the Commander for the Detention Division. He was
appointed to that position in January 2001, after having been
Lieutenant in command of the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office
Investigations Division and the La Paz County Narcotics Task
Force. He has been a Certified Police Officer since 1980, first
as a Reserve Deputy for the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office
(1979-1984), a Police Officer with the Town of Parker (1984-1989), and
has been with the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office since 1989. His
previous assignments with the Sheriff’s Office included Patrol Deputy,
K-9, S.W.A.T., and Patrol Sergeant. In 1998 he attended the
F.B.I. Southwest Command College.
Lieutenant Alan Nelson 
Boating Enforcement Supervisor
Alan Nelson currently serves as Supervisor of the Boating Safety
Division. He began his career with the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office
in 1987 after 13 years Active Duty in the United States Coast Guard. He
has worked as a Dispatcher/Jailer, Detention Officer, Boating Safety
Officer, Patrol Officer and Patrol Sergeant before being assigned as
the Supervisor of the Boating Safety Division. Promoted to Lieutenant
in 2007, Lt. Nelson has over 35 years of Maritime Law Enforcement
experience through the US Coast Guard and the Sheriff’s Office. He
retired from the Coast Guard Reserve in 2002 as a Senior Chief Petty
Officer with 28 years of Active and Reserve service. Lt. Nelson is
married with 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren.
Lieutenant Curt Bagby
Patrol Division Supervisor
Lieutenant Curt Bagby moved to the Parker area from Seattle Washington
in August of 1994. In July of 1996, after being hired by the
Sheriff’s Office, he graduated from the A.L.E.A. (Arizona Law
Enforcement Academy in Phoenix) Police Academy. After completing
training, he began his career as a patrol deputy for the Parker (up
river) area. From August 1999 until September 2002 he was
assigned to the La Paz County Narcotics Task Force as a
Detective. In 2002, he was transferred to the Sheriff’s Office at
which time he was a General Investigator. In October 2003, he was
promoted to Patrol Sergeant and in July 2007 was promoted to the
position of Lieutenant. In July 2010 Lt. Bagby was assigned as
supervisor of the La Paz County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division.
Claudia Seechoma
Administrative Supervisor
Claudia Seechoma has been employed with the La Paz County Sheriff's
Office for over 20 years. She has served as Executive
Secretary/Administrative Supervisor under 3 Sheriffs,and oversees all
Department administrative functions, including the Warrants Division,
Accounts Payable, Department Records and Sex Offender Registration.
