The VIP’s (Volunteers in protection), are a group of civilians-citizens who assist the Sheriff’s Office during special events, aid in traffic control, search and rescue, contain fire and crime scenes as well as a variety of other functions. They also act as the eyes and ears in the public when Law Enforcement is not available. One of the many benefits of the VIP’s is their high visibility patrol methods. With nearly 4,500 square miles in La Paz County, we depend on our V.I.P.s to be seen by the public and to contact Dispatch/officers when an incident needs to be addressed.
